Harvested from the icy waters of the north Atlantic, this nutritious, lean and flakey piece of fish is one of the most versatile and popular seafood products for a reason. From classic dishes such as fish and chips to more specialized dishes such as cod au gratin, cod is a healthy and delightful alternative in your daily diet.
Basic cooking tips:
- Let loins thaw and pat dry with a paper towel
- Place them in a bowl and mix with flour, salt, pepper, paprika and garlic powder (be creative and use whatever spices you like!)
- Heat some oil in a skillet and turn to medium to high heat.
- Add loins and fresh garlic and cook on each side until golden brown or when they reach an internal temperature of 145 degrees.
- Optionally sprinkle a little extra salt and/or lemon juice... and serve!
